Firmware update for your SD Card Reader

Some D1 Labs High-Speed SD Card Readers shipped with a factory write-protection setting switched on. If your reader lets you view files but won't let you copy or save files onto an SD or microSD card, this applies to you. A free, one-time firmware update removes the lock.

The update takes about 2–3 minutes and only needs to be done once per reader. Please note the updater currently runs on Windows only.

  • Download and unzip the firmware updater below.
  • Open the instructions (PDF) and follow the steps.
  • Connect your card reader to a Windows PC and run the updater.
